That's not exactly it.
For example, to fit in Sikh society you wear a turban.
To fit in teenager society you wear Nike.
There are differences between fake, personal expression and conformity. -

Portray yourself as being more valuable than everyone else. Wear a suit to a job interview. Not shorts and a wife beater.
This is how the world works. If you want to get ahead you gotta play the game.
Yes because all humans are NPCs and the person interviewing you totally isn't thinking "LOL what a tryhard faggot he is clearly desperate to be hired"
Enjoy getting lowballed on that salary. I have enough experience that I don't need to play the fag game. I walk in and tell them how much it costs to hire me and what I bring to the table
It's not a fucking highschool fashion show. If you treat people like robotic NPCs that can be swayed by self help psychology they will treat you exactly the same. -

I don't believe you. You just want to be top dog on a forum and proclaim yourself king.
If you don't turn up to job interviews wearing suits you aren't getting the job. "professional demeanour" is a thing. It's how you act at work. It's how you interact with your coworkers and clients. It's not how you act with friends, family, neighbours, strangers.
There are boundaries and there is what is and is not socially acceptable.
You have just been shown to be clearly and 100% wrong and talking shit out of your ass. -

only boomers believe that shit. Stupid boomers, I have been hired by lots of people that would think you are a faggot for showing up to a job interview in a suit because they aren't normie mainstream lapdogs. Because unlike you i'm from the REAL world not the fake ass normie bitch cuck world that you are so familiar with -

Maybe jobs for teenagers at KFC and Walmart require slacks and buttoned shirt.
Doctors, lawyers, bankers, finance people, sales people, management, any office job, engineers, recent graduates all require suits.
Stop arguing with me. I am so right. I don't know why it means so much to you to not concede you have no idea on such an inconsequential topic. Your ego should not be so fragile. Show some humility. You look really dumb otherwise arguing this. -
2020-01-05 at 6:08 PM UTCIf you need a suit to get hired that means your skills don't speak for themself and you have to rely on a piece of fabric instead of your experiences and abilities.
A suit looks like you're trying to hard. A dress shit is much more casual -
2020-01-05 at 6:13 PM UTCDress shirt and nice pants and shoes are all you need. A suit is overdoing it. Maybe that was true in the 40s but not today.

Why are we still arguing this?
If you are not committed to making a good representation of yourself how can you be trusted to be a good representstive of the company, its image and its values?
Your image as a slob is damaging the brand of the company. Fired. -

2020-01-05 at 6:28 PM UTCIf you'll be working in a suit, fine as you're showing off your work attire. Like showing up to the McDonalds interview in a McDonalds uniform. Not to mention, you look like a tool buying a 1000$ suit to a job interview that pays 20$ - 30$ an hour. Going with a 200$ suit you'll just be looking like you've got a court date. It's a fail-fail situation.

You need to show your professionalism.
People fail to get hired due to piercings and tattoos.
I don't know how this can be argued. -
