that was actually the only time I've ever worked with muslims and the younger dude was actually pretty cool / not threatening kinda like the muslim version of §m£ÂgØL, like very nerdy and you kick his ass if you needed to and he knew it.

Do you ever be shitposting and writing a big long effortpost, then realise it's time to pray, so you have to step away from the computer and finish the post later?

Yes of course Allah will forgive me if I demonstrate genuine growth. According to the way sins are weighed, I got more good bakarah (or however it's spelled in English) by not cheating on her tn. Forgiveness is mentioned in the Quran more per page than it is in the bible

Why aren't you studying Arabic? It is the language of Islam and many believe it to be necessary to truly understand the Quran.

I don't really care about comparing it to the bible. Both are shit :)

lol I would do disrespectful shit like that when I was a youngin too. Also called women in niqabs "ninjas" and called Arabs "sand niggers" before. I haven't drank for a while and it amazes people who know me

No, if I realize I should be praying that's usually what I'd rather be doing, especially if the alternative is posting on this irrelevant website.

I learn more Arabic almost every day. I'm basically around Arabs at least 5 days out of the week and always pick something up. I have mondley Arabic and it's not terrible and I use it periodically. Might get duolingo.

    Ok, I've got one...

    Why Islam?

It sounds like you converted as an adult, and weren't raised on Islamic doctrine, so you literally could have just picked any religion out there (or none, of course).

So what exactly brought you to Islam in particular?

Most likely Scientology was too expensive.

I was raised pretty secular so religion was always pretty open ended for me. I learned about Buddhism through a family member (and local community members) before I learned any abramahic ones.

Islam makes the most sense to me in a logical way (Montheism in which the concept of God is incalculable and immeasurable but is still omnipresent) and I need to be constantly vigilant and conscious of God and my place in the world in order to keep myself from fucking up. It's like there's always an answer for things no matter what I need. There is a lot of ridiculous stuff people spout about it and some bad actors (historical and contemporary) but the basic foundation is good and altruistic without being a total bitch. It can be extrapolated onto a lot of things, just like Buddhism.

Its basically been an objectively good part of my life that's helped me and continues to do so. I feel blessed to have discovered it because without I would probably be drinking like a hedonistic Christian
