The quote applies to all businesses, including the banks. Like I said, there is no law that says any business must accept currency, this information set out by the US Treasury itself. -

this is true when i worked at malibu poke' on my first day i wanted a topo chico and realized it was card only and I didn't have my bank card with me as I mostly use cash -
2019-09-20 at 6:38 PM UTCThe financial institutions here, that still have counter staff that deal with physical currency (which is getting rare) will accept coin bags. They just weigh them to make sure the amount is right.
If you know and are trusted by a local businessperson, they will also accept them, as it saves them having to pay the bank for change (about 2% iirc).
Pennies and 2¢ pieces can be a problem, as pennies and 2¢ pieces were removed from circulation in the eurozone a while ago. -

The deposit itself is the good/service
They did not complete the service by refusing to count the change, therefor are not obligated to take tender legal or otherwise. -

The deposit itself is the good/service
They did not complete the service by refusing to count the change, therefor are not obligated to take tender legal or otherwise.
