Oh man, that'd be so damn cool. IRL battle of internet-smart losers. Like secret boner inducing material there. I mean I could never act to bring it about since people dying isn't justified, but if I got put in that situation like damn, that's better than being turned into spiderman or some shit.

But also obligatory "Raito was obviously the hero of deathnote, L was the villain".

Due to the nature of modern societies we no longer have those moments when our life is truly on the line and we feel most alive. You spoke of biological needs, but the desire for violence and death is innate to humanity. Our murder rate has generally been 6x that of other mammals. So much of our intelligence and effort in the past was dedicated to the barbarity of man.

Have you ever read Kaczynski's manifesto? I did recently and I actually really liked it, although I disagreed with it on a lot of points. I remember people deriding it as rambling but it was actually pretty coherent I thought.

  7. ^^^ Aaaaaand cockveins like this are why well meaning web admins eventually need to block or restrict access from Tor, which ruins such a useful and important tool for everyone.

Since there is no complete public list of them, even if your ISP is enhancementing connections to all the known Tor relays, they probably won't be able to block all the bridges. If you suspect your access to the Tor network is being blocked, you may want to use bridges.

It's not about access to the network, it is about access to sites that block publicly known node IPs. You can't control your exit node, so you will most likely be exiting from a known one (they are the overwhelming majority). Operators take these lists and simply ban or restrict access from them. It's effective and there is no way to bypass it without defeating the entire point of Tor.

Banning exitnodes is piss easy, it doesn't even take new code it's just configuration. I don't because there are legitimate use cases for tor and right now they're more valuable than the convenience of having functional IP bans.

You're on a forum where people freely confess to criminal activity. Take a second.

It allows people in restrictive environments (china, corporate/school firewall, etc.) to access the site, it allows people to post anonymously WRT their ISP.

Marrying someone and driving them to suicide 2+ years after they sign up for life insurance (I read that it actually does pay out if you suicide, but it has to be after 2 years. Didn't confirm.), if they didn't already have a policy they could add you as a beneficiary to. That or simply making it seem like they committed suicide. The absolute perfect plan, with perfect trust and control of the environment. free access to it. So many possibilities.

This would be the height of psychopathy and parasitism. But, if it was a good payout (I am such a modest man that as little as 1.5K per month would be enough to life what I consider a good life), mmm, the emotional equivalent of the scent of good barbecued meat being carried towards you on a warm wind during a pleasant day, rousing your desire in a manner that causes you to feel warmth expanding from the inside of your core outward towards your extremities.

It would also be relatively simple, easy to get away with. Yes, it would require some investment, you could choose someone you truly enjoy spending time with, ideally that seems eager to marry quickly. And if they planned to have children, that alone would be enough to fully justify the murder, in my view.
  18. The site was once not TOR friendly, IIRC.
