the metal 10 gallon milk jug is rusted on the outside, it was ground down to fresh metal before any attempt to stick stuff to it but nothing I have attempted has stuck or bonded to the milk jug,, I'm sorta depressed over my failure this week,, the mushroom biz is fucked up and this ha been a revamp attempt to better the grow,, the heat killed almost all the blocks in incubation,, the last batch of grain I inoculated turned green,, the grow room had to be emptied and now the blocks are out in a tarp tent ad the bugs found my mushrooms making them almost unsaleable unless picked early, july sales are down dew to low production.

new plan starts today,, waterproof floors and walls in the grow room, revamp the wood fired barrel install a better air intake to the grow room and better humidity delivery system, buy a tent for over load of blocks,, a screen tent so the bugs cant invade the crop.
start a new set of pitri dishes with a new sample of oyster mushrooms as the old culture seems to be getting old and not performing as it did in previous batches......

to my haters I have to say I still profited as my weekly cost is only 100 bucks and I still sell 200 a week.
also getting rich was not the goal,, having steady income was. and still is as I AM THE POLECAT and nothing can keep me down!

for long,, thanks for the help to those of you that offered tips and suggestions,, and finny was helpful over on messicans in space

    LMAO...good one.

Easy solution actually. Drill a hole in the steel or HD plastic barrel where needed and instal the copper release valve using any screw on type which can be properly sealed. Then get copper piping to solder at the part leading into the valve and extend the length to your dis unit. Maybe you'll need a few reducers...yet everything can be found easily at a hardware store or big outlet using your limited brain power. I've also seen it done with galvanized parts and adapters for copper hookups. Stronger and won't eventually leak or crack as long as you see no rust and not used for extreme psi.

She had a tight screw stuck from the cylinder's axis about 20 degrees too short from where the uncycled rotator spun under by about two whole turns of this socket wrench pulled. Recalibrated settings took a whole point off of the differential tolerance of the individual tools that work on my brother's before he found yours laying next to my dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog doo dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog dog. Transfering the spent reciever locks into my earlier build of a rebuilt block stop out of my way. Works okay though.

Just cut a hole and use a compression valve

    No welding needed

I have always used an oxy-acetylene torch with this product. May not work properly with propane or Mapp gas. Not sure. Stick 15% will work with Mapp gas, just not real well.

    Good luck!

To clarify, 15% WILL NOT WORK for the application of steel to copper.

    45% silver needed.

Considering Pole hates using the Internet with shipping involved it's probably a no go...as Pole would say you're not a GENUS. Also with active steam and boiling good luck if it lasts. Archer's idea is simplier.

OP -- during a late war the copper penny was replaced by the steel penny in order for the copper to be used in the war effort.

I believe all the copper was removed because the two metals are not compatible.

Steel is cheaper. The cost of copper is more than the value of a penny. The penny is electroplated with copper though. It rubs right off with a buffer.
