For starters you could try to achieve an OBE. Then when you've entered the second state, fly by your homie and watch him jack off to gay porn. Tell him about it the next day and observe his face becoming red. Alternatively, if you're too fucking impatient smoke a breakthrough dose of dmt, and i'll guarantee you will experience things you could never imagine or think of yourself. You can think of these events like dreams all you want, but fact of the matter is you can't think up/imagine these things before you've experienced them, just like everything else. There is no original thought, no thought is your own. If you can't imagine it, try to explain where its coming from, because its definitely not from inside your head. You can't imagine what you can't imagine.
In the second state you will encounter other beings here on earth occupying the very same space we are, but in a different layer.
You can interact and speak with these entities, they can tell you things. Now this can also easily be dismissed as dreams, many people do that. But when you can monitor real world events while in this state and actually bring back information of what you saw, you will find more and more that dreams and OBE's are two quite different things. One is in the head, the other is outside of it.
Note that i use the term soul very lightly, i would prefer to use sentient energy or second body instead as i'm not particularly fond of religions. -
