its not hard
i've lost 110lbs and still working at it. weight loss is 90% diet, 10% exercise. when you eat carbs, eat complex carbs. eat more fiber (celery, oats, whole grains, etc), learn to like water and greatly reduce soda intake, eat more unsaturated fats (nuts, beans, vegetable oils) and buy leaner meat. saturated fat in the form of inadequately trimmed or improperly fed animal meat is pretty much just arterial plaque. protein powder is your friend. eat a shitload of protein; aim for 1g protein per lb of bodyweight to maintain muscle mass during caloric deficit. protein shakes with 2% milk taste literally the same as a malt milkshake, and dont have 20 trillion calories. go outside as much as possible or take vitamin d supplements. above all else remember that change doesnt happen overnight, so in order to see your progress you need to be patient. good luck man, i've been in your shoes
