that's the thing. You try and make it here and then go there.
you have to basicly not rent an apartment and live in a van. down by the fucking river or bay er whatever.
and work 5 years. working out at the gym in the morning, showering, taking transit to work. find a nice neighborhood to park your car so it's not smash and grabbed every fucking week.
then.. then you buy land and just pay everything off and take on a basic job or a great office job that pays decent over there.
watch Austin Texas become as expensive as San Francisco and NYC, LA, Seattle. its already happening. Atlanta Ga as well. fuck those cities. Fuck all of them but NYC. the others are snob hell. NYC is rich people without that much Snob. well.. most. Im sure some old money NYers are snobby af.
but the rest of them are angry, down to earth people. you know. REAL! -
2022-01-14 at 9:08 AM UTCAnd I didn't make this rule up. Literally people come to San Francisco and do just that. In around 2014 when the market started taking off again. maybe after 2012. people were living in RVs in Golden Gate Park. it was hilarious. and the cops stopped messing with them. only in the last years did they start red tagging shit to be moved or towed. but then Covid hit 2020 and they allowed them to stay again.
but that is what people did. for years until covid hit. then most of them either split for the midwest to buy land up or bought in Sacramento area and were allowed to work at home for the last 2 years. then just as shit was about to get normal, Omicron hit. or the Delta hit and shut shit down again.
Omicron seems to be peaking. but Im sure some other shit will creep up. -

As much as Houston should have been the place to pick because the fact AT&T is HQ there and originated (I guess) out there. the people don't feel Houston is Idea. they see Austin as the "Berkeley" of Texas. a laid-back region.
this is why it was chosen, However, I believe Tesla is also looking into Houston Area as well. for Batteries to be made. but I think people didn't want to move to the LA of the southwest. -
2022-01-14 at 8:25 PM UTCAlso not for Long.
Houston will be the LA and Texas population will exceed California by 2050 (as projected) because of the fact California has slowed down. the population had declined just in the past year or so.
Houston will look very different. be glad cars are going electric because Texas would be as smoggy as China is now. -
