Overall, as I've stated before, the percentage of deaths from mass shootings is so small that they simply shouldn't matter, he vast majority of people are simply emotion driven idiots, and it's the emotional impact that gives them due to the ramifications stemming from political machinations. If its not automatic it's an assault weapon.
by the proper definition an 'assault RIFLE' is fully automatic, ie, as long as the trigger is kept pulled, bullets will come out of the barrel. theres no such thing as an assault weapon.
when MINITRU uses the term 'assault weapon' they are expressing their own ignorance and attempts at manipulation. 'assault weapon' sounds so much more ebil than 'assault rifle'

from what ive seen these mass shooters arent the most tactically inclined individuals
.223 is whats called a 'varmint' round...meaning: its designed to kill bunnys, squirrels, and other small furry animals. there are several states where it is illegal to use the round on deer-sized game due to the inadequate terminal performance.
there is a wide variety of bullet types available for that caliber and it would depend on the bullet weight, design, and velocity how effective it is. a light-weight...30gr or so, expanding round is going to make a mess of whatever it hits, but its only going to penetrate a short distance before exploding. meaning...shoot a fat person and their bodyfat acts as armor, preventing the round from entering the body cavity and doing real damage. a heavy...90gr or so, non-expanding round is going to go right through the person and keep going. if it doesnt hit bone or some important organ there will be little damage.
hundreds of people stuffed into a small area (small from the perspective of a rifle-wielding shooter) at close range make terminal ballistics almost irrelevant. im still waiting for the ballistics info to be released. 49 dead...50-ish wounded...not so impressive, all things considered. -

the more i read newly-released details the more suspicious i am of the actual numbers. there has been zero information on causes of casualties. based on some of the bullet holes in the walls fired from the cops...their aim sucks dick. if i were their firearms qualifications officer and they showed that degree of ineptitude, they would definitely not pass quals. use your sights, motherfucker.

This is almost certainly a major factor with these shooters. That shit (Geodon, in my case) makes you feel NOTHING.
And i ran out one week because i couldn't afford it at the time, and HOLY FUCK, i didn't recognize my own family members, there were shadow people everywhere, i thought the cats were demons, and EVERYTHING was alive, and all of it was going to kill me.
Had to have myself committed just to get off of it.
I'm a mud and I can't be deported, I was born here and so was my family. I will fight to stay here. I will not be sent back to the UK -
