   2.4 GHz Intel i7
   1TB hybrid drive
   16 GB RAM
   
   $1,500 refurbished.
   
   I bought this in mid-2015. I wanted a Mac for the software, but it's held up very well for everything I do. Anytime it gets a little bit slow or starts to glitch, I just reinstall the OS and it's like new. The only downside is that, because of the overall size and the hard drive, it's pretty heavy. As a result, I don't take it away from home often.

   The computer itself was about €80 second hand. Upgraded the RAM. The rest are just bits I had lying around or that I scrounged. Still works, despite obvious blown capacitors on the mobo. Linux Mint.
