I find what works for me to not actually talk to the girl but talk to the people around her and let her get comfortable around you and try to be charming and witty, flirt with her friends a little bit but not with her. Make sure you when you speak it is in a somewhat slow and calming voice. You want to make sure that she will actually say yes if you ask her out because you don't want to work with someone that rejected you everyday. I've done this for months before before actually speaking to the girl and when I finally did she was instantly smiling and I could tell that I could ask her out. You have to look desirable and if you get along with everyone around her she will trust you and you will be more desirable. Try to find out what her political opinions are, I speak a little spanish and with the girl previously mentioned I spoke a little spanish to a mexican lady that couldn't speak english and I could tell that she was a liberal and she liked that. I've got some girls that were extremely attractive doing it this way, it all just a show to impress her but you never let anyone know that and it seems like she is the person you are least interested in. Guys are constantly trying in pathetic ways to have sex with girls and you don't want to be lumped in with all the other idiots that just jump in and let their intentions be obvious. You have to be a sweetheart. I can fuck slags easily but going after highly sought after women is a complicated game and its fun to play. I'm more or less an addict who doesn't make a whole lot of money so fucking girls who have masters degree is not going to come naturally to me.
