I really enjoyed Power Rangers on Sega Genesis

Or both Battle Toads on Sega Genesis

The geneforge games are turn based in combat, although the game is only like half combat and it's possible to do total pacifist runs. Really great series IMO, the later games were kinda meh, 1 and 2 were amazing though.

FFT and FFT:A were both great games. I liked advance more because I think they got the game balance right but FFT had the better story. I remember my GBA cartridge was a dud so like one in ten times starting up the game would clear your save. I had to restart so many fucking times to complete the game, I must have sunk an easy 100 hours into it.

also I remember doing the exploit where you spam first aid on human soldiers for like the first third of the game to max their level, then pick up the ninja dual wield skill and turn them into a fighter and just DPS your way through the rest of the game with ease. I remember one shotting every enemy up almost the very end of the game.

Also some game on genesis where you aimed guns, and once you took them all out, it went to the next screen.

    Gun Slinger I think.

I've been in and out. Don't want to get sucked into the beautiful cest pool again. I made a really embarrassing mistake in a shit talking battle a while back that really could have bit me in the ass, so I've been keeping a low profile.

Oooorrrrr I was tired of your self defeatist behavior and at that point I couldn't handle that kind of person in my life. When I calmly told that I couldn't talk to you until you got your shit together, You chimped out on me. But I don't really care what anyone thinks, I know the truth. Also, haven't been to a meeting or made a FB post in over 2 years and stay clean.

Now back to the topic, before §m£ÂgØLs butt hurt interruption, I need a new. One I did find out how to play 16 bit platformers, and I've beaten Sonic 3&Knuckles, Castlevania Bloodines, and I'm working on Zelda 2 and Ghosts and Ghouls.

But, again, back to RPGS, FF6 is broken and won't let me pass because of some rush tech, Super Mario RPG freezes when I try and equip items and Secret of Mana sucks. So I can go for Shining Force CD, Earthbound, Fire Emblem, or try FF7 again or maybe try and get SF3 to work.

I literally contacted you for the first time in like 6+ months. I came to you asking for someone to talk to about my alcohol binge and possible fatherhood and you almost immediately told me that you couldn't talk to me whatsoever if I didn't go to rehab. There was maybe three exchanges back and forth before you said that.

That's a pretty shit thing to do to somebody who was there to listen to your dreams of heroin and was there when you relapsed and were so helplessly incoherent on the phone that I had to hang up. I still have the voicemails on my old phone of you apologizing for calling me fucked up on heroin. Has your stroke fucked up your memory so badly that you genuinely don't remember?

Way back in the early '70's, I used to write my own Dungeons & Dragons games. Drew up all the characters, rule sets, plots, all on paper. People from around my neighborhood would come and play my games. Fun times.

Great modules are not all that hard to put together. Just takes some real imagination.

I think you can find a lot of those pre-written adventure books online now. After that, you just need to plan up some maps, sprinkle in some appropriately levelled enemies from the bestiary, etc. Could be fun.

I'm willing to help with writing if anybody were to start creating a game.

Has anyone here actually ever played a game, or am I the only one who hasn't? Some of my liberal friends wanted to start playing with the Pathfinder rulkeset, which seems to allow for a a lot more freedom, but a lot more complicated too. And apparently you have to plan around stuff like magic and science and tech so stuff doesn't become so powerful that it breaks the game.

Anyway, if you guys are interested, highly reccommend getting in the mood with HarmonQuest and Critical Roll on Youtubes.
