The next county over is very "NON LIBERAL" and lots of F350 type drivers
there is a Gun range out there. I used to live by it and hear it on weekends if the wind blew the right direction. I can go there and rent theirs and fire it and get a feel for it. I think they're a dealer as well. Probably the best channels to go through. -

It's nice, though I'm not the biggest fan of revolvers myself. They do have one VERY big advantage over semis though: if you get a bad bullet that doesn't fire, just pull the trigger again to fire the next one. -

Yeah.. it's for protective mode only really.
I hope to never have a group or even a single person have a shootout with.. let alone shooting at me.
the other day I felt as if I didn't care but most times I care. So it's not for battle. if it comes down to San Francisco in a crisis from the next big quake and people start looting for food then it's handy enough or some other mass disaster -

When you want to outline stories (usually short stories) it's really nice to lay down and think of the outlines and where they fall into place. shootout and chase is the funnest that writers think of.. but in reality, No Thanks.

If I were going to commit suicide I would get an airsoft gun, remove the safety tip, go to a store that doesn't allow concealed carry, and pull it out and shoot people with it
Then ask people "now what would you have done if this was a real gun?"
Then I'd see how many times I could get away with that before I got shot/arrested -

2017-05-28 at 5:20 AM UTCIIRC a Glock 19 is pretty much the perfect introductory concealed carry weapon. The 9mm subcompact if I have the wrong model. Good stock parts, only modification you may want is to have good night sights installed. Don't buy a gun based on the aesthetics, it isn't an art piece, and ideally you won't be looking at it much.
And suicide isn't a cowards way out, it takes incredible courage to override what is generally our strongest will, the will to live. It all ends in death anyway, voluntary or not, and for most there really aren't good reasons to fearfully cling to life when they have no sound purpose for doing so and will only face a gradual, followed by rapid, decline, their quality of life continually being diminished.

Glock 19 is the compact 9mm, you may be thinking of the 43. It's far too small for me though, I feel like I would drop the thing if tried to unholster it in a life threatening situation -

If you ever need to use it the incidents are generally over very rapidly, with few shots being fired. They've studied police encounters to determine this, and civilian encounters will probably tend to be considerably less intense.

19 is compact. You said subcompact.
Doesn't matter though, I like the 19 better too
It probably is the best handgun for first time shooters that want concealability. I totally forgot about it honestly. I'm more of a .45 guy -

I hate guns yet I could buy one and hide it.. hoping I dont forget where I hid it. maybe at a friends house or wrap it well and bury it under a tree. I would need some of those packets that they put in new shoes to keep the moisture out.

the first thing to remember about studies and the consultants that make them is that 99.99999% of the time they have no application to real life whatsoever.
