The US has flatly rejected the proposal every time it's brought up.

Well it looks like good work.

SYRIA - The government has discovered large stockpiles of CN and CS gas on territory that was held by 'moderate terrorists'. The chemicals aren't used by the authorities and they bear manufacturer markings of US/UK companies, indicating that they'd been given to the rebels during the war.

CN/CS are not lethal agents; they're essentially modern tear gas used for riot suppression in prisons. It begs the question of why the rebels needed it and how the west justified providing it though, and indications are that they weren't the only chemicals being provided.

i dont think their mindless, you have to be pretty creative to come up with all those explanation and excuses that seems to be logically enough to contradick the observed and the logic.

The government has now reported that they've discovered chemical precursors to nerve agents manufactured in Turkey, but haven't provided further details (photos and videos exist of the discovery of the CS/CN compounds).

    I haven't posted in a while, so here's a quick rundown:

BEST KOREA - Germany and a few other European countries are now trying to push the US into accepting the agreement put forward by China and Russia; specifically that NK will halt their ICBM tests if the US will halt their provocative military exercises on the peninsula. The US has so far refused, and has apparently initiated another 'exercise' as of the 21/8. NK has, so far, not responded outside of calling them names.

YEMEN - I think I already posted that KSA has been trying for a long time to starve Yemen, most recently blocking petrol deliveries into the country for UN relief planes - effectively grounding them and halting efforts to supply the country with food and medicine.
A UN proposal is in the works that is accusing the KSA (the head of the human rights council, no less) of murdering extraordinary numbers of children and refusing to change their tactics in such a way that avoids bombing civilian homes and infrastructure. This was brought to the UN previously but was withdrawn when KSA threatened to withhold UN funding and stage a walkout of the Gulf states' UN representatives. The situation in Yemen has been steadily gaining more coverage though, and with Germany moving away from US foreign policy the EU seems less willing to cover for them.

SYRIA - The SAA has been kicking ass relentlessly lately - with superior troops and fire control, the SAA has been breaking through ISIS lines in such a way to completely surround and isolate their strongholds; after cutting supply lines they're able to crush these 'pockets'. It's worth noting that ISIS fighters are not offered amnesty in the same way as other domestic rebels (foreign fighters and mercenaries are refused as well), and they're no longer being left with escape routes - they're being crushed mercilessly and both their manpower and morale are suffering immensely.

It's also worth noting that HTS (Al-Nusra in Syria and the most powerful non-ISIS rebel group) has been reportedly working with ISIS in an effort to break SAA lines and join the pockets they've created, but reports of such are conflicting. HTS have also been constantly throwing accusations at the SAA of using chlorine and nerve agents, but not even western mainstream media appear to be taking their word for it anymore:

Oh and Netenyahu is patting himself on the back, claiming that 'together with Russia we have fought ISIS to the point of defeat'; leaving out:

    1. Iran, Hezbullah and the SAA have done the majority of the heavy lifting; Russia has mostly provided political cover
    2. Israel has not launched a single attack against ISIS positions; in contrast they've actually supported ISIS fighters near the Israeli border as a sort of 'buffer' between them and the SAA
    3. Israel has repeatedly hindered the war effort against ISIS by attacking SAA positions under the guise of 'preventing weapons transfer to Hezbullah'

In short, typical israeli behaviour. He's now claiming that if Iran does not leave Syria after ISIS' defeat (it's not going to happen, Iran will have a large stake in the rebuilding and future security of Syria after the war) that Israel will get involved militarily.

    Fucking Isreal.

In any event, Jahbat al-Nusra was a better name than 'HTS' whatever that is supposed to mean.

    Highlighter Tickles Sphincter

They've changed their name like six times over the course of the war; initially they changed from AN to denote that it was a different organisation and that their goals differed somewhat from the parent, but after that they changed their name every time they came close to losing their 'moderate' status (and hence weapons supplies) with the west.

CAMBODIA - Cambodian authorities have begun to expel US NGOs; on the basis of instigating a colour revolution and colluding with major political parties against the government the so-called 'National Democratic Institute' has 7 days to GTFO.

I'm not so sure - I've seen a few stories lately relating to weaponising NGOs in southeast Asia (good one here - Thailand); they may be trying to use a scattershot approach to creating friendly governments in case they can't stop Duerte from evicting them... 'Terrorism' usually comes after 'soft power' fails.

yea but for terrorism to happen you have to have a ''democracy'' that have some semblance of ''human rights'' that differentiates between combatant and civilians.

    cambodia have none of that.

SYRIA - SAA is preoccupied with trying to lift the siege on Deir Eizzor. Multiple FSA units (I don't know which ones), ie. western-backed 'moderate' jihadis, have attacked SAA positions in an attempt to break through their lines and resupply/support ISIS positions.

ISIS have also launched a massive counterattack while the bulk of the SAA's forces (and the Tigers) are committed to Deir Eizzor, breaking lines at the Euphrates. The positions were being held by tribal PMUs.

It's believed that Al-Nusra is now trying to bail ISIS out in exchange for their military support; if AN/HTS/etc's raids succeed in breaking the encirclement ISIS is to fall in line under Al-Jolani and they'll be used to threaten the other rebel factions into falling in line.

LEBANON - Hezbullah effectively crushed ISIS in the country within 48 hours; the military was only called in so that it wouldn't look like Hezbullah were doing their job for them (they were, and they were doing it better).
