No shit. I never claimed it did.

But if you think the printing press didn't affect morality you are a retard
  3. A dolphin is far more "advanced" than a field mouse...both are animals though...just as a human is more advanced than a goat (excluding mexicans)...they are also both animals.

Not relevant to the discussion going on.

But no, a piece of equipment doesn't change morality, no more than a gun kills people.

Yeah it is you're just triggered because you don't know anything about history.

Guns allowed European to conquer most of the world. They didn't feel too bad about it, they thought they were helping by killing them and forcing them to adopt European customs and support their empires.

That technological imbalance affected how cultures interact and they had different morality and beliefs. Like the Spanish who believed taking gold from natives was for the grace of God and so they were morally justified in killing them all.

Wrong, the first firearms were made in China...they didn't use them to conquer the world...it wasn't the gun it was the human behind the gun and his decision/mentality on how to use said chunk of metal to enable his goals.

Those goals would have been met either way.

The invention of gunpowder completely changed Chinese society

non sequitur as to your suggestion the gun enabled the conquering of the world. The Romans conquered most of the known world long before the gun was around.

It gave them the moral justification to engage in colonialism because they had vastly superior technology and viewed the native populations as savages that needed to be converted to Christians.

/snip, an inanimate object can't do anything like that...it's just a chunk of metal, it requires reasoning skills and decision making to make "morals" and then "justify" it.

  17. ^ I like that it explains the whole morality/perspective thing perfectly.
  18. Here's another good example of morality and perspective, this "famous" photo that caused global outrage for years during the Vietnam war.

..till the truth behind it came out.

Turned out this was a pedophile that had murdered several local kids.
