   Sure double 0 buck is like 8.3mm, round balls so about 2-3 balls of buckshot equals a 9mm in weight.
   In terms of killing power though, depends entirely on bullet type. A FMJ 9mm is likely to go right through you without doing much tissue damage. Not so for buckshot. The amount of energy transferred into the victim's body will likely be that of 8 - 9 shots of FMJ 9mm.

   Yeah plus I guess also the fact that there are multiple points of entry with buckshot and only 1 with a handgun. That’s gotta count for something more than just the overall energy.
