you mean that the PC boards manufactured in larger quantities for non-CRTs using the most hazardous chemicals available to human technology with trivial feasibility to recycle the components on those board is safer than a few ounces of lead? (also your cited article was incorrect in the weight of the lead in those CRTs. 'modern' CRTs have just a few ounces of lead within a few inches of the electron guns. the ones with 'pounds' are the humongous screens that nobody can afford anyway.

youre an idiot. i clearly stated that any sane municipality WILL NOT charge to dispose of hazmat because the consequences will be the hazmat being disposed of in an uncontrolled environment. by not being classified as solid waste and being considered as hazmat just means it cant be buried in the ground...it doesnt meant it cant be disposed of, you idiot retard. the link you sent me said the hazmat designation was due to 'pounds of lead' which is safer than a car battery yet theyre disposed of on a more frequent basis than CRT televisions. you think that people wont paint their houses anymore because the paint is considered hazmat? or theyre going to stop taking medication because it is considered hazmat?
