$14.99/lb is extremely high if you are buying straight from the farm/ranch. I go to a real butcher shop which carries better meat than any grocery store including whole foods. I pay $8.99/lb for ribeye. Even at Giant Eagle/ which is the highest priced grocery chain in my area it is only $14.99/lb.
All I'm saying is if you are getting it direct with no middle men $14.99/lb is a fuck you in the ass price. I get top quality ribeye from a real butcher for almost half of that. Even if I feel like getting fucked in the wallet by Giant Eagle I still pay the same as you even after God knows how many others took a cut first. -
