HA like you'd survive in the military.
You might have defended our freedom on CoD in your basement, but that's about it -

Which is exactly what you did, " How could anyone hope to compare to your intellectual stature" I did not claim to have superior intelligence (or intellectual stature) but that is what you are saying was my point. Thats what a fucking straw man is, Also known as ideological fallacy which this forum is rife with.
And I didn't say you claimed to have superior intelligence, or that that was your point. I was just calling you a dumbshit tbh. Also a hypocrite. -

Only thing you fought for is for the expansion of state power which is the antithesis of freedom. -

" How could anyone hope to compare to your intellectual stature" How many times do I have to copy and paste this? -

Yeah, I'd love to live in a stateless society where gangs shoved everybodies balls down their throat. -

Thank you sophie.. people like this guy clutch join the military to feel big and tough. Then when they get out they brag about how big and bad they were defending our "freedom". -

Yes, I posted that. No, it's not a strawman, because it's not an argument, it's just me saying you're stupid.
Here's another non-argument: you're not very good at internet arguments. -

No rulers does not equal no rules. Besides, if there is no state to enforce draconian gun control laws everyone would be safer off because everyone would just own firearms. And don't give me this shit like: Oh yeah but criminals will have guns too! Because they already do, that's kind of the point of being a criminal. Gun control laws don't protect anyone, they just make law-abiding citizens less safe. The state can't do anything the free market can do better. Also private security. -

The problem is that these fuckers were trained solely for offence. They are trained to fight and possibly die on foreign soil. Being taught that their enemy and place of engagement are foriegn they dont give a fuck what happens so long as they get the fuck home.
Militaries should be utilized and trained for attack against their own state. Its fucked that we arent being directly invaded yet these fuckers walk around so high and mighty about how they defended our freedom and we somehow owe them for something we were never fucking involved in. -

Your point is completely unrelated, sophies argument is a political one while yours is just a personal vendetta.
People join the military because of something called the "hero archetype", it is part of humanities collective unconscious This archetype is part of our everyday lives (and EVERY movie ever made) and for the most part it makes people want to be selfless and helpfull. We would be still be living as hunter gatherers if it were not for the hero archetype. I garauntee that you yourself have been affected by this archetype and who are you to judge my incarnation of it?

2017-01-10 at 1:53 AM UTCAlso they didn't do a very good job of it considering in Iraq the invasion directly lead to the rise of ISIS, who most people agree are worse than Saddam, and in Afghanistan the Taliban are going to be mostly in control again by the end of this year.
Real good job you guys did. Well done. Your buddies died for precisely fuck all -

getting butt-seks'd by various male residents of your section-8 housing does not qualify you to carry the ptsd card...nor does it make you a man. -

I agree about the gun laws and I'm not a huge proponent of the state, but even if the state disbanded, people would create systems that served our purposes and it would be more or less a state. The free market can't do anything that doesn't make a profit and sometimes shit needs done that doesn't create a profit (ie America's aging infrastructure) This is when the state is needed. I consider it a necessary evil. -
