There is no law which states banks have to accept any currency at all. In fact, there isn't even a law which states any store has to take any currency. The law only exists to establish it as legal tender, but does not impel anyone to accept it.

Wrong. Unless or until the government in the US phases out pennies or any other coin, it is legal tender and a bank cannot refuse it.
Now if you’re not a customer there, they can refuse any service to you.

Sure they can refuse a deposit where the check seems iffy, it’s torn, cash that is torn, etc., etc..
But if you take a “good” check and money that is not destroyed, they will take it.
