Yes ND is relatively lax about multiple DUIs because so many people around here get them. If they were harsher our jails would probably be bursting at the seams.
My last 2 duis were within a month of each other so they basically just treated them as one collective deal. I would've had to go back to prison for a year and a half but I applied for and was granted permission to do our DRUG COURT program which allowed me to remain free but I had to do outpatient treatment 3x a week with biweekly probation visits and monthly visits to the courthouse to talk to the JUDGE.
It sucked ass but I passed it successfully because I am a good boy. -

No, but not out of being particularly law-abiding, and moreso out of sheer luck I suppose.
For example, I did get caught shoplifting once, but I had handed the item I stole off to my friend seconds before loss prevention surrounded us, and so after the cops arrived and searched us, while they found the item I stole, and had video footage of me taking it off the shelf and putting it into my pocket, they couldn't officially prove that it was the same box of pills.
And that's just one of several examples. -

Well, in terms of financially motivated crimes, I guess when I was running my check printing operation would be among the more serious, since I was bilking check cashing businesses out of thousands of dollars.
Then there was the ATM skimmer I was working on like 17 years ago, but it never materialized due to a temporary falling out with the business partner (we were estimating a potential payout of anywhere between $100,000 to a full million in the best case scenario). -

Quite possibly.
But I guess, to be honest, I'm kinda glad it didn't go as I was hoping, because then I might have ended up embracing the lifestyle entirely and never end up finding the "righteous path".
But if I ever find myself in possession of a time machine, maybe I'd be down anyway.
It was kind of fun, to be quite honest. -
