Yeah I was living in one of like 8 states that has the bare minimum Good Samaritan law (all 50 states have it now) that ONLY protects people who call in for someone else who's overdosing. Where I live now is one of the better ones that protects the person who is actually overdosing that not only gives them immunity from charge and prosecution, but also protects them from breach of parole/probation violation (of I'm currently on).
That state has the senator who pioneered the anti-spice laws back in the early spice years because some faggot high school kid was the first to overdose on spice and shot himself with a deer rifle, so then he went balls to the walls on increased drug penalty laws and drafted SITSA, which would effectively ban all drug analogues. Fortunately some lobbying firms got that bill shut down. -
