Bout to hit le Pirate Bay. Stuff like this makes me want to make a show. I'm trying to figure out what made the first seasons feel so epic, and these last seasons feel so color by numbers.

you see it with a lot of series, the ones that really make sense have had their overarching story written in advance rather than just for the next season or even episode.
the first few seasons were written by Arrrr Arr as a coherent story; the producers had the task of chopping it up into episodes and making sure each episode had enough interesting stuff in it. they're doing the same now, except they have to write the story as they go - they're not as good at it, and the overarching plot will always come second to checking the boxes to make each episode interesting to watch

I'm in the population of people that havent watched an episode but somehow think they will one of these days when they're done watching shameless which is way more amateur and superior and also I know I wont watch your gayme of throats, EVER!! *SQUAWWW*

This shit started to suck when they went off the source material. I'll tell you why the battle for Winterfell sucked, because a lot of characters had plot armor right up until the end. The prophecy of "the prince that was promised" was set up but never had any pay off. We still know nothing about the Night King, and they did a lot of set up with the three eyed raven and Bran and the mad king but none of that had any pay off either.
Piss poor writing indeed. Everything that is not based on the books i have written off as "not canon" in my mind. I'll wait for the books to come out.

GRRM has all the money in the world to order pizza, coke, viagra and high price escorts to his ranch in New Mexico. What in the everloving fuck makes you think hes going to finish the books?
I wish someone could dredge up my alternate Breaking Bad ending. I thought it was was better than the show's.
