I was told once to "cool it".
I said "no".
Five uniformed men then took me down, and I recall NOTHING after that (for about 15-20 minutes... and that's a rough estimate). -

As much as I like to call this whole thing a "conspiracy", technically it's more like a "collusion" among a small group of people.
I'm assuming the five cops were fully aware of the wrong they had done, and henceforth uncuffed me and completely neglected to document all of that. It's the easiest way to bury this all under the rug.
Little did they know, though, that, despite them finding me on skid row, I am not exactly a career criminal nor a vagrant.
They probably thought that I would have no means to defend my own side of the story, so they just kicked me to the curb (literally).
Had I initiated physical contact, I'm absolutely CERTAIN they'd have dragged me down to the station.
But, as I mentioned originally, I was completely innocent of any criminal activity (well, except for being on a public sidewalk after having consumed alcohol... But is that really such a serious crime as to warrant a beating, while handcuffed, by five grown men? No. Just no). -

I called some law firms up, though, that specialize in either personal injury or police brutality... I actually got a few invigorating responses.
I just have to bootstrap the legalities of it all, which I have been doing by continually communicating with the civilian board that handles these complaints.
The door hasn't been slammed shut just yet. -
