Yeah it's just an all around shit show.
There are potential upsides to it, like eliminating biological limitations (such as aging, disease, etc)...
But SO MANY potential downsides to it too.
I'll stick to the half measure of cyborgs. You have a mechanical/robotic body, but your mind is still in it's own unique space.
Although even that has some of the same scary implications... If one could trap your physical body somewhere, and there's no "self-destruct" option available via some though-induced mechanism, then, yeah... perpetual quarantine comes up again. -

There's always some thing that junkies do that they don't which separates them.
So what is it to you that makes someone a junkie vs. not?
The "need" to be high. If not being high pisses you off, you're a junkie for sure. If being high is just a perk of the day, you can still consider yourself a recreational user. -
