No. Like I said earlier, it is the geological continent that comprises of the political continents of Europe and Asia.

If you live in China, you live in Eurasia. If you live in the UK, you also live in Eurasia. It's big as fuck.

Except the UK is an Island and not part of the geographical continent...Africa is technically connected to it though...

I think you meant to say geopolitical continent...

A continent is one of several very large landmasses of the world. Generally identified by convention rather than any strict criteria, up to seven regions are commonly regarded as continents. ... Islands are frequently grouped with a neighbouring continent to divide all the world's land into geopolitical regions.

Now if you are talking tectonic plates then India and Arabia GEOGRAPHICALLY are not part of it either...See this is what happens when you rely on 5th grade geography and bing instead of google ggg...

    No, you fucking retard.

Geological. As in, the Eurasian Plate.

The UK is absolutely in Eurasia. That it is an island does not mean it is not a part of the continent. Otherwise, it would've split off and gone with the US when Laurasia was still a thing. UK is only an island because the land that was between it and the rest of Eurasia became flooded.

Oh man, this thread is reminding me of this one time I was at a bar many years ago and started hitting on this chick. She had an exotic look to her, so I asked her where she's from.

She said Polynesia. This was like 15 years ago, I wasn't the well-rounded scholar that I am now, so I was drawing a blank as to where exactly it was on the globe.

So I inquired, "what continent is it in?"

    She responded with, "none."

I was utterly perplexed, because it never occurred to me that a piece of land could NOT be part of any continent.

Me being my stubborn self, I kept insisting that there must be some kind of continent associated with it.

But she kept pushing the whole "no! Polynesia is NOT on any continent. Stop asking about that, and leave me alone." So I walked away.

Then a few minutes later, I felt bad for badgering her, so I wanted to appologize and buy her a drink and then proceed to leave her alone. But when I went to ask her what kind of drink she wanted, she got even more upset, and she ended up going to talk to one of the bouncers or something like that.

Luckily, I was a regular there and she was a nobody, so nothing came of it.

To this day, I'm still convinced that I wasn't 100% wrong. Every island, no matter how remote, must be on some kind of continent, right?
