Some people say Oakland California is. But there are some really nice people in the hood. many Christian folks but not like Deep South Christianity. they arrange for youth participating in bettering their lives. It too has a large homeless which many are drug users and can't get out of this problem They shouldn't be arrested. they should be placed in a decent hospital (unlike these shit ones under funded and they're sleeping on floors with rolls and no pillow and bed bugs and lice)
Not blaming the hospital staff. What can they do about it but try and get more funding.
Look at Jersey .. Jersey City isn't just a shithole at one time. it's full of lead and powerhouse grime in the air and on buildings. like if everyone was a chimney sweeper. now it's cleaning up. Newport district is one of them. and just north in Hoboken, it too has become a foodie & techie hipsters paradise
We need to work on our city and say to the people who dropped out and don't want help because they're so fucking wasted "Hey, you can reject our help but you can't stay here. All of you have become a health risk to the rest of the community. We'll place you in a shelter and try and get you off of drugs. if you leave and are on the street shooting up. The cops won't arrest you but they will detain you and take you to a hospital. Then hire specific security enforcers to monitor the streets for this. They won't have guns. they will be forced to wear cameras and taught never to abuse.
I've never been to Atlanta Ga, but I hear it's kind of nice.
Then there is San Francisco. the homeless was mainly in the Tenderloin. but it's all over the fucking place. like everywhere. In the old days of the 60s the homeless lived in Golden Gate Park
In New York city, Battery Park or Central Park was the place for homeless drugged out dirty hippies or beatnics.
Apparently NYC won't tolerate tent cities. Though I hear Brooklyn does.
Meth heads in Iowa? Shit.. that was probably a big punishable crime caught with it in Iowa 30-40 years ago. like decade in Prison? them midwesters didn't fq around with that.
