   It is. It was pretty cold on and off in Oakland area growing up. I mean everyone who grew up here says the same thing. the 70-90s was pretty wet cold. maybe upper 40s but wet from fog so it feels like below freezing when the wind blows.
   
   but the coldest it has got is 40s at night. like 2-3am . day time I think maybe mid 50s has been the coldest since Winter started. been like this for about 10 years now. maybe one or two days of 40s. no 30s I can remember for a long time. Hell it snowed a few times when I was a kid. Havn't seen that in over a decade even in the central valley area.

   I thought Florida was like 70s all winter (maybe 80s) and like gross hot with humidity the rest of the year round?
   
   I guess it depends on what part. I never been. I would love to see a beach with white sand.
   
   99 percent of coastal beach in Cali is an ugly brown color sand. except Carmel by the sea and the Channel Islands
   
   Santa Rosa Island (off the coast of Santa Barbara)
   
   nothing to do really. it's a desert island but I think a ferry goes out there. but then again people just bring food to picnic and lay out in the sun all day or swim or snorkel.

   Eh, for the most part of the year it’s hot here, so I probably shouldn’t complain about a few cold days. I’m just not use to it.

    I heard it snows in LA at times. I think the bay area air is too salty because of the bay in order to snow. when it does, it doesn't stick.

    I spent a summer on Catalina and the beaches on the mainland are actually way better. Catalina is cool, but there's almost nothing to do, and the beaches I saw were generally mostly rocks and kelp.
