    Branded usually have stricter quality control and spend more time/money selecting corn from "choice" crops rather than some random Messican farmer.

    I found someone saying the kernels in the name brand corns are usually bigger, which also got me wondering why that's even a better thing; if you have the same amount of corn who gives a hoot about having bigger kernels.
