2018-11-15 at 6:53 PM UTCWhat's the difference between a cheap generic brand can of corn and a fancy expensive brand can of corn? I don't need any quirky comments about the can itself either this is a SRS BSNS post and I'm talking about the corn itself.

It most likely is packaging and name brand you’re paying for though. If you compare the contents they’re always the same. -

Branded usually have stricter quality control and spend more time/money selecting corn from "choice" crops rather than some random Messican farmer. -

No corn shall be canned before its time?
Only corn having reached the status of full kernel or above shall be deemed sweet and tender.
A label, nor a container make the corn. The corn is the fruit of the vine. Hear ye! Hear ye!
Be jolly -- get creamed. -

I found someone saying the kernels in the name brand corns are usually bigger, which also got me wondering why that's even a better thing; if you have the same amount of corn who gives a hoot about having bigger kernels.
Then they talked about crops and milkiness etc. -

hohoho that's funny
Any one who knows corn knows the best corn is hybred and immediately after picked should be shucked, double-cut and put up. Talk about a great taste at the Christmas dinner table. -
