Yeah I know they call lynx, axe over there. I think lynx sounds way better tho. Axe is a dumb name for deoderant.

I was using AXE for about 10yrs before I figured out it was Lynx (which I'd previously used in the UK)...even the fucking bottle is similar/the same so I don't know why it took me 10yrs to realize that...guess my mind is just too highly tuned to notice such menial stuff.

One thing you can't really find here is Detol. I was brought up using Detol for everything so I brought a shit load back with me after a trip to England.
Ex wife #2 had sore feet one day so I said "here, put a couple of caps of this in hot water and soak your feet, it's like a miracle cure".
She had an allergic reaction to it and her feet went all red and bumpy and stayed that way for like a week.

Somebody posted a yt vid of the TV ad on zoklet once for some reason and I noticed it was the same exact commercial that was showing here on TV but was an american voice narrating it and it calling it axe, lol. It was one of those where the guy gets chased by loads of chicks, supposedly coz he wore the deoderant lol, and they called it the axe effect instead of the lynx effect that the British one said.
I can't think of why they couldn't call it axe here except for the fact it sounds pretty gay. Is there a reason they couldn't call it lynx in the states? Just wondering why the different names.
.
I think it's all about the X like it sounds like SEX so either one works but in America when we hear the word Lynx we think of a dirty cat in the mountains even though they're pretty and graceful they are smelly so we don't wanna use it as body wash or deodorant but then again what is appealing about an AXE? Nothing really and honestly if they called it lynx I would buy it but they don't so whatever

I think the funniest one is where you call digestive biscuits as graham crackers. Where the fuck did that name come from.

Axe is shit
And Lynx sounds pretty similar to minx which is pretty feminine.
