This is not me asking for a pirated serial number for Windows 7 premium.
I had Windows 7 in this computer. it was a "Open Box" from Best Buys I purchased about 4 years ago. it was clearly backstock as an already open feature and then brought up front to sale off. Not to go into it's specs, but the specs were higher end then the older Desktop I had previous.
I had sinstalled Linux and I thought I had partitianed it. I know I partitioned it, but the fucking thing wouldn't "Go back to older version" when I tried to uninstall a shitty Ubuntu
So I went onto Amazon and purchased a Win7 reinstall OES.
it asked me for my serial. I looked on the back of the tower near the CPU and the side of the tower and under the tower.. lots of stickers, there is a serial for the computer but the software serial number doesn't exist. So I called Best Buy and they said, you didn't purchase an extended warranty. and I said "I don't fucking care.. where is the number.. you should have it logged somewhere as an open box for sale)
Best buys has their heads up their asses. And if I call MS up in Seattle (Or wherever they're located) they're gonna want to force me into Windows 10. FUCK 10. FUCKING FUCK 10. FUCK THEM AND FUCK 10.

if you bought an oem serial they should've sent you a photo of the sticker with the serial on it; keep in mind windows locks serials to editions (home, premium, professional, whatever else) so you need to get a serial that matches the edition you have
if you just want to get up and running you can fill the box with zeroes, it'll install and run with limited features. then just download/use daz's loader to validate it

Assuming windows is still on your hard drive download magical jellybean finder and it can get the serial number off the hard drive for you

It's a fucktonne more complicated to set up because dependencies are managed manually and largely without a package manager
If you're not familiar with lunix yet Ubuntu's good place to get acquainted, that or a Debian distribution (I mostly use Bunsenlabs)
