For all I know, you could be telling the truth, but clearly intelligence in whatever way you seem to define it is not very comprehensive, since it seems to lack certain nuances such as humility, grace, tact, or anything resembling social intelligence.
chad thundercock should fulfill those nuances for me -

Are you saying you have split personalities, and that one of those personas is this so-called Chad Thundercock?
Or are you saying that being "intelligent", as you so define it, is sufficient, as long as some other fellow comes along and acts as some kind of surrogate for your lack of social skills.
Either scenario is a bit... crazy, to be honest. -
2018-11-06 at 3:19 AM UTCSploo, take a crash course in philosophy so you can pretend like you know something he's talking about and stop feeling so inferior. It'll enrich your soul.

id rather not waste my functional abilities on meaningless bullshit. i know you know nothing of this and will spend the rest of your life dividing humanity into 3 clusters like a triarchic venn diagram. i just think lanny should either drop the act or kill himself. what a waste of data -

2018-11-06 at 10:57 PM UTCI could smell the reek of insecurity in this thread before I opened my laptop. Sploo, learn some philosophy if Lanny makes you feel this way. If you really have a 155 IQ it should be easy enough to get on his level.

2018-11-08 at 8:45 AM UTCSploo is right, philosophy is mostly bullshit. The problem is that you are trying to make sense of the world basically through building on language. That means you have a foundation of constantly shifting sand, and the bricks are all unevenly sized and constantly shrink and swell as well.
That's why two philosophers can start off with the same question and wind up with completely different conclusions. The whole edifice of philosophical thought, when taken as a whole, is basically horseshit, and about as valid and enlightening as koran studies.
Yes, you can sift through all the shit and find some helpful conclusions here and there, but you certainly can't proceed to then build on them. -

What exactly do you mean by saying philosophy is "built on language"? Are natural sciences like, say, biology somehow not "built on language"? Why? -
2018-11-08 at 10:06 AM UTCPhilosophy is built on C++
