    Loss prevention is much more than just tackling idiots in the parking lot/chasing them for two miles. We had to regularly train staff and management on how to detect fraud and theft, also had to do full inventories and reports, countless hours in the courtroom, preparing testimony, preserving and documenting evidence, destroying written off merch, ensuring all fire regulations are met, evacuation drills, internal investigations, health and safety, and countless other mundane tasks, such as checking employee garbage pails for unused tape on rolls and providing education on waste management. It's really not it's cracked up to be.
