Both of you are wrong. The Wall is not leaning it is thicker at the base than on the top and is straight up and down in the inside. The reason it slopes on the outside and not the inside is as SpectraL indicates below.

Swiss army knives are small.
structural integrity...gravity. the base has to be thicker to support the weight above it. the wall at the top has less weight it needs to support and can be thinner -

the wall is not at a steep enough angle for that to be a factor. 'deflection' is the term used in armor. that is why most armored vehicle designers try their best to avoid sharp angles (except where they cant because the type of armor is impossible to produce in anything other than flat plates) and are relatively smooth and angled to be as far from perpendicular to a projectiles path as possible.
technically anything that is less than exactly perpendicular to the path of the projectile will adversely affect its penetration.
