Strange how this one didn't puff up, because the human body is 65-75% water, and water is one of the few liquids which expands when frozen, by 9-10%. He should look a hell of a lot puffier. But I guess if they've been laying there for a good while they eventually dry out into a husk. -

2018-09-03 at 8:09 PM UTCI think what happens is if they fall from a higher altitude onto something, that something is covered with a foot or two of snow, and then when the snow melts away underneath them, it leaves them behind in the pose they would have been in had the snow still been there.
