Your wrong and so is he. Impeachment is just a charge by the house. The senate then holds a trial based on those charges. If found guilty those charges by the senate the senate can remove the president from office and if the choose to, as an action separate from the act of removal, can ordered that he no be allowed to enjoy office again.
His whole scenario is flawed because...
"... shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment".
This refers the presidential powers of pardon.
