Also Japanese contains other alveolar phonemes (like the "n" sound or alveolar nasal) which is the same tongue position. I believe most Chinese languages as well.
Yeah, of course in early childhood kids will learn to deal with small problems in pronunciation.
That doesn't mean that a frenulectomy won't help.

Nice strawman, but encouraging people who are being actively oppressed by hostile elites to stand up for themselves has nothing to do with making anyone "filthy rich".
You and Enter both have mental ages in the early teens. You guys both regard the rich as being some sort of demigods, and exist for the pat on the head from the teacher for memorising and rattling off by rote some jedi bullshit. -

I consider Jerry Seinfeld (jedi) and Trey Parker (goy) demigods in the sense that I want to be that rich and powerful one day. But I don't "look up to them" or worship them as celebrities. They're just goalposts. -

I doubt you'll never be rich and powerful by posting mildly entertaining flames on an internet forum. -

Did you even read your own article? In truth, physiology has little to do with it. Japanese has nothing exactly corresponding to the English l and r. Japanese speakers of English use a native sound between the two
If the tongue is really short, you can't pronounce r and l properly. But this condition is relatively uncommon, and you get 10 times as many parents who want the operation as children who really need it
Not that I really consider the unsupported assertions of an article in Independent to be worth anything, but this is the evidence you offered. You guys both regard the rich as being some sort of demigods, and exist for the pat on the head from the teacher for memorising and rattling off by rote some jedi bullshit.
Lol, wrong. You're the one who can't seem to imagine a person disagreeing with you for reasons other than being a stooge to an elaborate ethno-conspiracy. Like you're not stupid, but your inability to see things as not belonging to your obsessive framework for jedi power brokering is just embarassing -

This is interesting, as I bet that you and I can read the same text and get two completely different interpretations. In truth, physiology has little to do with it. Japanese has nothing exactly corresponding to the English l and r. Japanese speakers of English use a native sound between the two
Note the weasily "little", followed by a fairly pointless fact about Japanese - I thought the article was about Koreans. This is the reporter admitting that it's all to do with physiology.
There are sounds that aren't used in English, like the Spanish thrill-"R", the Irish "bhf", or the French silent "h". We can pronounce those all fine, even if we grow up not using them.If the tongue is really short, you can't pronounce r and l properly. But this condition is relatively uncommon, and you get 10 times as many parents who want the operation as children who really need it
So 10% of the parents have valid need for the operation, even according to the journalist? So a short frenulum is a problem, and the operation does help? Not that I really consider the unsupported assertions of an article in Independent to be worth anything, but this is the evidence you offered.
Well it's not one of those impartial, trustworthy newspapers like the NY Times or the Washington Post.Lol, wrong. I don't follow. -

Honestly not sure if this is supposed to be trolling or not. There are sounds that aren't used in English, like the Spanish thrill-"R", the Irish "bhf", or the French silent "h". We can pronounce those all fine, even if we grow up not using them.
Those sounds are difficult for people who didn't learn them as part of their native language to pronounce. I can't roll my Rs. Some people are successful in learning those sounds, just as many Japanese and Chinese people are successful in learning the English R and L sounds. Again, I point to the sounds in Japanese which require the same tongue position which almost all native speakers are able to produce. So 10% of the parents have valid need for the operation, even according to the journalist? So a short frenulum is a problem, and the operation does help?
So 10% of parents going to a surgeon for this operation have kids that actually need this operation. That's a very different population than 10% of the parents of the general population. And even if it were (again, think about this, obviously it's not), it would mean 90% of the population in question is fully physiologically capable of producing the English R and L sounds yet nearly every person who's a native speaker of Japanese, Korean, or Chinese has difficulty with these sounds when learning English so your claim that:Asians can't pronounce "l" as they have a short frenulum underneath the tongue.
Is false, that's not even an explanation for why 10% of Asians who have difficulty with with the sounds in question do so.Well it's not one of those impartial, trustworthy newspapers like the NY Times or the Washington Post.
Sorry bud, I don't go to news media to learn about physiology or linguistics. That's because I'm not lazy and retarded. If you found a Washington Post article making the same claim and citing the same evidence I'd call it shit journalism too. -
2018-08-26 at 9:28 AM UTCSo to sum up the above post:
1. Repeat what you already said. Bring nothing new to the discussion.
2. Assert that your argument is superior - in whole part because my source sucks.
3. Imply that anyone who struggles with pronunciation just hasn't practiced enough or was raised wrong.
4. Casually admit you can't roll your "R"s.
Have you considered a lingual frenectomy? It might help you with 4. -

The average jedi iq is like 93.
The few Ashkenazi with high IQ are degenerate neurotic wrecks.
You're jedi, aren't you? -
