This is like the worst subtitle of someone dying I've ever read in my whole life. I sounded like I just got a paper cut. And still, I believe that a single paper cut is more deadly than getting penetrated with a sharper object.

I had a look at the actual document but haven't gotten far enough to see if there's a mandatory sentence
"βThe suspect was arrested and his mobile phone was seized but despite legislative requirements he refused to provide his passcode. Due to an inability to access his phone as well as the fact that he used encrypted communication methods such as Snapchat and Facebook Messenger, Victoria Police was unable to access evidence which would have enabled them to secure a successful prosecution and identify further victims and offences,β goes the case study."
There are so many things wrong there I just don't know. Why is he guilty despite not being convicted? What happened to the presumption of innocence? And why couldn't he be convicted anyway? If you use throwaway accounts are you immune from prosecution in 'Straya? And what right do the police have to invade the privacy of and "identify further victims"? That's worse than his alleged crime.
Australia is a complete dumpster fire of a country when it comes to privacy, rights, and civil liberties.

Wait, if Facebook Messenger uses encrypted communication methods, then how is it that Zoklet.com can't be typed in without it shutting down and going to greyout?
