Rock and Roll was born from Jazz most likely. they did it right. and old school rap came along with punk rock.
that took some skills.. spinning records and some synths was still a form of an instrument. buy an 808 or other drum machine and adding sampling later on doesn't take much skills.
So, I don't mean Rappers of yesteryear but modern rappers. except some broke free from the obligatory rap sound.
