The NSA was originally formed because the CIA kept getting caught spying on US citizens, even though it was enshrined in their charter that they would not. The NSA only exists because the CIA couldn't play by their own rules. -

2018-06-06 at 7:04 PM UTCJiggaboo_Johnson. Are you apart of the feds requested to come find info on 9/11 pre post only to try and convince as that our Government (or corruption with in) would never do such a thing?
regardless of who's side anyone is on this site, one thing most of us believe is there clearly was corruption from the NSA spying on people. -

you can say that, but there hasn't been significant evidence until Binney, some data from Wikileaks and later Snowden. Even various hacker groups, who at the time had the closest thing to raw data, had no idea of the scope of things like PRISM, XKeyScore and TrapWire (which was literally purged from the internet for a while when it first surfaced).
Idk, maybe is the cynic in me or maybe my background (we've been through a lot). But I normally do give that for granted. And the history speaks for itself. -

of course, I'm (along with anyone else familiar with the history of the NSA/CIA) not surprised that they would do it, I'm surprised mostly at the sheer scale of data collected and some of the more invasive methods used. I mean it's easy to say 'hurr durr you should know the NSA is spying on everyone', but it's another thing entirely to have proof that they're pulling CCTV surveillance feeds from across the world into a single network to be able to use biometrics, image recognition and rudimentary AI to build identification databases and experiment with large-scale behavioural modeling for example -

I wasn't ref. just their history tbh. In general everywhere (obviously each country within their small/big possibilities) France, Germany, Italy etc. and in particular the big powers: USA, Russia and China.
But yeah, of course have the actual proof means a lot. You can try and make them accountable, or at the very least to raise awarness among the people. Not everybody is interested on certain subjects, not everybody is educated, and not everybody knows or is a cynical. lol -
