no, it wouldn't work at all. not in a single fucking case would it. you get people who have everything when they get addicted. a good job, money, nice house and car, a loving beautiful wife with lovely kids. yet they can't kick that habit if they are not ready to the point that they will lose the job, and even when the wife is threatening to walk out with the kids if they don't stop, if they are not truly ready themselves they will find it impossible and will end up sticking that needle in their arm in a cardboard box down some back alley in dirty filthy clothes coz the wife long kicked them out and even tho it kills them they won't be able to see their own kids coz of the restraining order, so they'll have another hit to deal with the pain of that, but they still won't be able to kick it until they are truly ready in themselves to do so.
which at this stage will be way after the kids have graduated if he's lucky.
many addicts get threatened with losing everything all the time and yet cannot stop because they just aren't at that stage where they are ready to do it for themselves. anaddict cannot do it for anybody else but themselves, it just doesn't work like that.
