    I think the education system is confused as to what it wants its outcomes to be
    
    Traditionally universities have been for further education, not job training - outside of fields that require long-term, highly specific training for entry (medical, specific branches of engineering, math and science etc.) courses are meant to educate, not guarantee employability. Vocational colleges (like TAFE here) are much better suited for job training especially given their ties to industry.
    
    Somewhere along the way they managed to enforce the idea that 'you need a university degree to get a decent job' without actually changing the available courses to focus on making students employable, and of course there are throngs of mongs going through the system and only realising years later that they fucked up, have a degree that's worthless in the job market and have accrued a monstrous amount of debt in the process

    i can say with complete accuracy that 100% of what is on the tests and study curriculum of 'college' is irrelevant in its entirety to the real world. ill even go so far as to say that i literally wasted every credit-hour of my college. between the time and money, for what its value was to me, i would have been better off spending (wasting) it somewhere else.
    
    they add bullshit to the college requirements that corporations tell them to add:
    
    - community service
    - internships (reverse slave labor...not only are you wage-slaving for no income...youre paying for it)
    - group communication
    - homework
    
    im disgusted and dont even want to get into it.
    
    i was at a graduation and a nigger did its doctorate thesis in some stupid ass bullshit paper not even worthy of a kindergartener. i dont remember what it was but i remember posting about it.
