Help my recover the data on my 64GB flash drive

   I have a 64GB Lexar flash drive and I store basically files that I download and install on my PCs. I have another backup on a 32GB flash drive but it got filled up and this was the main one with the newer stuff. I must have no dismounted it fully before unplugging it. I get this error message but I haven't really tried anything with it yet.

   Failed to mount '/dev/sdd1': Input/output error
   NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
   SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
   then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
   important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
   it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
   /dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation

   I remember a while ago i had a hardrive that was acting up so i got the tool TestDisk to recover the data. It's a command line utility and pretty straight forward to use, i couldn't tell you exactly which steps to follow since it's been a while but as i remember it, it was pretty much self-explanatory.

   Try adding a new boot record using TestDisk first.
