True story, I used to work with a guy who had previously worked at a pizza hut. He said he used to fuck the girl who worked there up on the counter where they make the pizzas and then carried on making the pizzas on the counter after they'd finished -

2018-05-18 at 2:12 PM UTCi worked at a bakery when i was 17 and the first job they gave me was making up big bowls of icing to go on the danish and the buns. the young lad doing it with me was an idiot who used to regularly spit in the icing and laugh. one time he cut himself then called me to show me himself deliberately dripping his blood into the icing while laughing like an idiot thinking he was hilarious.

So how do you determine a delivery driver has done a good job? All they do is put your food in their car and drive it over. In this case it would be by ensuring your entire order arrives, sides and drinks, in a timely manner (though they have limited control)The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

ok, A good job isn't really measured on tips imo..if you rely on tips it's not a good job. From what I know the food delivery people don't rely on tips, they make min wage (or even more....I recall a friend of mine delivering for papajohns as a 2nd job and makeing a base pay of $10hr or something like that, it's not like a waitress only making $2.50hr or whatever it is).
Delivering food is delivering food, at best it should be viewed as a 2nd source of income...NEVER a "good" job. -

and now that I think about it that is literally all they can do but even that system fucks them, caught in traffic? no tip The cunt that gave you the stuff to deliver forgot the drink? no tip
I just don't get the idea of american service, I've heard it claimed that america has the best service because of tips but I've never had people pissing on my plate in places with no tips, and being nice to your customers for pay is just fucked up.
Something should change with that system -

actually if you're the one delivering and you didn't bring something thats on you (not some cunt that gave you the stuff) sure I've had managers hand me stuff and say okay go we're in a hurry, but I check the ticket to make sure I got everything.
I work in a place where traffic is a common thing so a lot of people understand that on a friday night if they are ordering from a pizza place downtown it could take a minute.
I've only had one instance at hoboken pie where my time as a driver was an issue because I was literally the only driver and we were having flash floods, one guy was a total prick about it and started asking me where my last delivery was (I told him I can't give that info out) and he got really pissed off.
The other lady that day was kinda pissed but I explained to her what the deal was and its obvious we are having flash floods and I'm not going to speed in that kind of weather and kill myself so she can have her pizza quicker (I brought her a cookie knowing i would be late) and she tipped me like ten bucks or something.
Also another thing since I worked downtown sometimes it didn't make since to get in my car and drive six blocks on a friday / saturday night with all the craziness going on downtown so I would just walk the pizza to the hotel and bar, didn't have to deal with traffic and could bar hop my way back to the store in a timely manner. -

you don't get the idea of american service much less your own countries service considering you don't work
the point of tips is that if you put in more effort in your job for the customer you tend to make more money... when I go get a beard trim or haircut or deal with a good bar tender I have no problems giving me a nice tip
but then again a lot of europeans are commies and think everyone should get paid the same for the same job title which is bs
