2018-05-16 at 12:09 PM UTCthat sucks, I'm feelin pretty good this am ,, I have to work today,, my goal is to bring up the humidity and lower the temp in the fruiting room,, that's not easy because the home humidifiers aren't making enough humidity and the olny way I can bring it up is to use heat but thatl make the room warmer unless I set up the ac to cool it down but the ac makes dry air so u see my quandary..
morning Red,, can we get a nipple shot this am or what?
teeheehee what do you look like ? post a pic or pm it to me will ya -

its a wood room but its got a plastic liner protecting the wood from moisture , used a spray bottle and got the % up from 67 to 85%
and I'm piping cool air from the old well in the yard to the fruiting room for cooling .. kinda lika redneck geothermal cooling system. -

the plastic line will cause condensation between the wood floor and the plastic. mold.
those ghetto .99-cent misters that old people and tourists use on themselves when its too hot out work pretty good for increasing humidity without making rain.
theres a lot of houses where i live that were built in the 40's...50's...that pumped ground water from a deep artesian well into a 'radiator' used to cool their house. the 'waste' water was then dumped into the yard, creating a lake. theyre illegal to make now but there are countless ones still in operation. -

its a temporary fruiting room but we have very low humidity outside so there wont be much problem with mold under the plastic in the time we will be using this room.
the old well runs dry if you use it like you mentioned but its full of 43 degree air so I'll be pumping air through a buried tube into the fruiting room. -

the water here from the aquifier is 65-degrees and the humidity is always high.
i left visqueen (thick plastic) on a tile floor one time while i was doing my windows and over about three weeks it picked up a stain...a shadow...that was visible once the floor was cleaned. i finally had to use 10% undiluted bleach to get it off...THEN had to do the whole floor to get the now-clean spot to match the rest of the floor. -
