A nokia c3-00, it's shit and isn't an android but I can make calls/text and listen to music on it, not anything more that I need.

iPhone 6S+, it runs very reliably for me. I've had a couple of iPhones before, but this is easily the best one. It's about a year old, so I can't justify spending so much on one of the newer models yet.

I personally wouldn't pay more than $200 for a phone unless it had something that I really wanted/needed. Most of the phones that are brand new have more power than most apps even need. I also wouldn't buy a phone that's a complete piece of shit since right now $40-$50 can get a person a decent cheap burner that's rootable. Unless I only needed the phone for verifying accounts, job references, etc.
