Even though he will soon be one himself, sooner than he thinks.

There is nothing I hate more than birthdays. Becoming older is a bad thing. If I could I'd be still be 11.
Why shouldn't one devalue old people? We peak around 19 years old, and it's downhill from there. Some have a spike in their early 30s, but not that many.
Being old = bad.

What I hate is when youngins use it as the "old" card, like it's just some cheap copout they can use whenever you hand them their ass or try to shut them up. "I don't agree with you". "Yeah, well, you're old! So there!", as if experience would not directly translate to some kind of superior wisdom. The youngins have it backward. It's the youngins who don't have the experience, therefore do not have the wisdom, and yet we "olds" are the bad guys who are as dumb as a bag of rocks somehow. Take Lanny, for example. Yes, please, take Lanny. *applause*

I have no problem with old people per se. It's just the kind that go on and on about their war stories and how many gooks they killed when you know for a fact they accidentally footshot themselves shortly after basic and were never deployed. That's like you spectral, but instead of lying about murdering people for the state you lie about knowing things about computers. It's hard to say which mode of dementia is worse.

It is kind of amusing being at university as someone who is a little older than the average student. Younger people don't know things about life sometimes. Like it's kinda funny seeing these 20 year old skanks parade their bodies around and eating/drinking like shit because they just assume they'll be young and hot forever. They don't know that I've known girls like them that after a couple years of that their bodies are going to look like shit permanently and they'll be undesirable. Sometimes it doesn't even take that long. I had a couple classes a while back with this girl that was gorgeous. She got fat and ugly literally over summer break.

I'm still trying to decide whether it's actually jealousy, or genuine annoyance, or obstinacy of some sort. Right now, I'm leaning toward jealousy.
