How quaint. How curious.
What does this mean for us today? I don't know what ammonia really is used for other than making some good techamphetamine I guess? -

It's used in a LOT of stuff. Our society probably could not function of the production of ammonia suddenly stopped one day. It's used in fertilizer and it's used in all sorts of chemical syntheses.
It's also used to get your chips to you: we use it to kill bacteria in food products before packing them in an airtight container and shipping them off. -

I like chips in my sandwich but only on occasion. It depends on the sandwich too.
My favourite sandwich of all time is a simple tomato, basil and mozzarella, smooshed and toasted in my panini press. Chips go well on the side. But with a chicken sammich or whatever, I fuck with it.
Not too sure about Fritos though. I usually fry my own chips. -

there's no joining your crusade...I was publicly berating him long before you.
I can't remember why, specifically, other than he deserves it -

I think if they just made their bags a little smaller and all plump, they'd sell more. Like the same reason your pour them into your red cringe containers. They are FULL. why don't the marketing people just sell bags FULL to the brim these days? That's what I want. Don't fill me full of hot air!!
The air helps protect the chips during shipping. -

thats false. thats what they want you to think but thats not true at all.
chips dont need protection at all since they all came in broken, random sized pieces.
it just make them look more value for money and when you try to point out their trick they point you to that line on the bag that says ''sold by weight, not volume''. -
