doesn't matter as to whether it'll bring a long term solution, it's going to happen. The US/UK are the only major powers that directly back Israel and they're in a steep decline as far as international influence goes.israel won in 67, fair and square.

The US spends almost $4 billion on Israel's military every year, and that doesn't count what's done to undermine Israel's enemies, nor does it count the other massive aid channels which are typically funneled to the military anyway.

i dont really see US as in steep decline, UK maybe, but not US. they still managed to push the latest sanction against north korea and china and russia can only negotiate to tone down the sanction, not block it outright.
also, had they gone ahead with their freedom of navigation in SEA, china will still be powerless to stop it.

if it werent for the petro-dollar the US would have had triple or worse the unemployment rate it had during the recession. the US is spending far more than it can afford on military and excessively generous social handouts. these two factors are going to kill the american economy.
the US being the biggest world-wide arms selling is helping to prop up the economy for now, but that wont last.

China and Russia haven't blocked sanctions outright because they know that the US will throw a tantrum and jump straight into a military 'solution'. The US' recent statement on Jerusalem is a perfect example of their declining influence - almost the entire UN voted to condemn the move, including presumed US allies such as Canada, NZ and most of Europe and further, almost every Islamic (see: middle-eastern) country has directly condemned it and stated they no longer consider the US to be part of (or even working towards) the peace process... Including KSA, Jordan and ostensibly NATO-allied Turkey.
Without going into it too much, US world dominance relies mainly on their military, the petroleum market (essentially taking cuts of every transaction and manipulating prices to control development of friendly and hostile countries) and the world financial system, all of which are being directly challenged. Russian military has been almost fully modernised and arguably exceeds the US in areas such as missile and ECM tech and have demonstrated their quality in Syria and the Ukraine. Russia and China are floating gold-based currencies and if they gain enough support, will drop the value of the USD through the floor. They've also been building their own financial structures to counteract existing US-controlled staples like SWIFT and the IMF, minimising the possibility of unilateral sanctions and manipulation. More and more countries are refusing to trade oil in USD and instead demanding Euros or their own currency - they can't simply be bullied or bombed into submission like Iraq and Libya. The main goal of OBOR or whatever they call it now is to create integrated trade networks that aren't affected by US control of shipping lanes.that may be so but the question is will someone dare to go against it ????

Yeah that's something that I think about a fair bit; every system is open to corruption in one way or another - the oligarchs from the US and Europe are likely to find a way to get their hooks into whatever new system emerges.
